Junior Einsteins - Shell Heights

Junior Einsteins Shell Heights is a 125-place state of the art centre which is divided into four separate indoor rooms based upon the ages of children:

  • From 6 weeks up to 2 years
  • From 18 months up to 3 years
  • From 2.5 years up to 4 years
  • From 3.5 - up to 6 years

Each age group has its own state of the art outdoor environment which has been carefully tailored and created with their individual learning and capabilities in mind. We have ensured that each of the environments have opportunities for the children to explore and be challenged. Each outdoor environment shows our appreciation for natural resources and the balanced relationship between man-made and natural elements.

Located near Dunmore train station, we have community access to so many wonderful local destinations we can use to extend children's learning and involvement in our community.

Taking Care of Each Child Individually

We also have for the children to explore a number of extra-curricular rooms to further extend upon children’s learning as a part of their everyday learning!

  • Science lab: Our science lab provides opportunities for our budding scientists to experiment and explore! The children have opportunities to conduct a variety of activities in small or large groups! Our science lab contains all the materials the child need including a variety of measuring equipment, protective clothing and ingredients to conduct a variety of reactions and explosions!
  • Children’s kitchen: The kitchen is perfect for our little cooks and chefs to master some new skills and recipes! Our kitchen has been built at appropriate heights with all the utensils we could ever want! Our kitchen will allow for children to build on their knowledge of healthy eating as well as the development of a variety of self-help skills.
  • Art room: Our art room is the perfect environment for children’s creativity and imagination to grow! We have all the available resources and textiles needed for our growing artists to explore various ways to express themselves!
  • Library: Our library will be stocked with all the favourite stories as well as new texts to support the children’s literacy development. The library will also be a multifunctional room that we can use for other purposes including small functions and group project activities.

Strong Partnerships

I firmly believe that parents are children's first teachers; therefore, we as educators must work collaboratively with families to achieve each child's best interests. Open communication is an essential skill within the early childhood profession.

Empowerment

It is crucial within our role as educators to empower children by acknowledging their voices and ensuring they have opportunities to be heard. We recognise all children as confident and independent individuals, and we greatly value their unique contributions.
